Steve Wells, Director of Awesome
When I first started, it was only me so I gave myself whatever title I wanted. Hailing from the restaurant scene in New York City, I chose Walla Walla to learn how to make wine in 2011. I’ve worked for Gramercy Cellars and M&L Production and earned my degree in Enology & Viticulture from the Walla Walla Community College before starting Time & Direction in 2016. I bring my restaurant background into winemaking by focusing on food friendly wines as well as my personality to every label by making them all different based on things that have been important to me during my lifetime. Entering the Time & Direction tasting room is like stepping into my brain with 80s & 90’s pop culture references, music, video games, and of course wine, decorating all the walls. Not your average tasting room experience. It isn’t often that you’ll hear lo-fi jazz music playing one minute and then heavy metal the next. Drink wine and enjoy!

Emily Zilliox, Fire Swamp Survivor @ Tasting Room
Hey fellow weirdos!
I have lived in Walla Walla most of my life and have a technology background specializing in computer programming and digital design along with 15 years experience in the wine industry. From tasting rooms to harvest – I have built wonderful connections within our community.
I have two sons, ages 16 and 18. When they aren’t keeping me busy, I am usually with Hannah, my dog. I enjoy trail running, yoga, hiking, podcasts, music, theatre, volunteering at the Gesa Powerhouse and spending time with family and friends.
My favorite 80s movie? Princess Bride, obviously. And if you haven’t seen it…I just have one thing to say…

M.K Bryant, Assistant to the Ghost of Christmas Past @ Tasting Room
Louisiana native now pouring wine here in Walla Walla. Classically trained archaeologist, a professional mermaid, and comedian. I also subscribe to the belief that “some wine a day, keeps the wrinkles away.”
